Frequently Asked Questions
Oh dear, my child forgot their library book!
Don't worry, students can return their library books at any time. There is a basket located by the desk for all returns. If they forget on their library day, they may ask their homeroom teacher to visit the library at a convenient time to choose another book.
How many books are they allowed to have out at one time?
Students are allowed to have two books at any given time. An exception to that is when they are working on a research paper and need books for their project.
Can I volunteer in the library?
Well of course. We always need volunteers to put books back on the shelves, make sure books are on the shelves in the right place and especially with the Publishing Center and Book Fair. Please come down and see me to discuss how you can help.
Can I donate gently used books to the library?
We except book donations all the time. If the book is not needed in the
library, we see if the teachers would like them for their own classroom
library. If we already have a copy, we will donate the book to the Appalachian
Drive or the Mercy Learning Center.
